Overview
Imperial Serenity sets dried longan (Long Yan Rou) at the heart of the cup, the “flesh of the dragon’s eye” — a fruit of a deep, honeyed sweetness, long reserved for refined tables.
Surrounded by plants chosen for the way they work as one, it makes up a mild infusion, naturally sweet and enveloping, that calls for the calm of the evening and for the cold season.
Presented in tea bags, it turns the end of the day into a suspended moment.
Traditional uses
A composed infusion with the profile of the Blood supplementing register and of the Fire Phase, in the spirit of the preparations built on Long Yan Rou.
Traditionally valued as a gentle companion to constitutions of deficient Blood that reach the Spirit — or, quite simply, for its comforting warmth at nightfall.
Preparation and traditional-use quantity
- Evening infusion: 1 tea bag in a large cup, water at a simmer, 5 to 8 minutes covered
- Regular use: 1 tea bag a day in the late afternoon for 3 to 4 weeks
- The cold season: particularly comforting in winter
Precautions
To be used in moderation in cases of settled heat, of marked Dampness, or by those watching how much sugar they take (longan is naturally rich in sugars).
