Jie Biao 解表 — Pungent aromatics, short infusion

The surface (表 Biao) is, in the traditional reading, the first enclosure of the being, where the Wei Qi keeps watch. The “Jie Biao” (解表) family gathers pungent and aromatic matter — warm or cool — which the ancient texts describe as opening and dispersing outwards.
