An Shen 安神 Seeds and flowers, evening decoctions
The Spirit (神 Shen) is, in Chinese thought, the clear consciousness that inhabits the being and shows in the gaze. The “An Shen” (安神) family brings together seeds and flowers that the tradition associates with the Shen as it settles, as water becomes a mirror again when it stills.
